Purchase some inexpensive plastic traditional popcorn and hot dog containers and place on tables full of nuts, popcorn, animal crackers, and candy. Add circus stuffed animals here and there to complete the theme.

Games and Activities

Provide long balloons to the guests and see who can make the best balloon animal- have the expecting mother be the judge. When all of the guests have found a place to sit, point out the tickets at each place setting. Inform them that a game will be played throughout the party called “Don’t Say Baby!” Everyone starts with the same number of tickets. If someone hears another guest say the word “baby,” whoever calls it out first gets one of the tickets from the person who said the word. At the end of the party, whoever ends up with the most tickets wins the game! Hire a fortune teller to give readings during the party while guests are mingling. Baby shower food should maintain the circus baby shower theme. Offer cocktail-sized pigs in a blanket, chicken strips, French fries, corn on the cob, and elephant ears.
